August 3, 2014: “Protist 2014”, a joint meeting of the International Society of Protistologists (ISOP) and the International Society for Evolutionary Protistology (ISEP) held in Banff (Canada). This event, organized Joel Dacks`s Lab, brought together experts on different topics such as molecular ecology, next-generation sequencing evolution of multicellularity. María Aguilar, Postdoctoral Fellow in Dacks`s Lab and Kina García, PhD student in Real Jardín Botánico-CSIC, represented our research group at the meeting.
